Do you think while buying?

We spend time on social media every day, but most of the time we are unaware of the things we are influenced by there. Unconscious consumption is one of these. We want to buy things we see in a story or post just by looking at their shape, color, or appearance.
Sometimes we load so much meaning onto things that we think we will only be enough, happy, or beautiful when we get what we want. However, we cannot find our own value in an object or in someone else's eyes; we determine our own value ourselves. Noticing all your consumption habits and preventing them is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
Another aspect of unconscious consumption is constantly buying different versions of the same things.
At this point, again, we focus not on needs but on wants/consumption. Actually, while we need hair care, we might buy the brown version of a shoe we really like. This week, by noticing these, you can act according to your needs.

If you want to change your consumption habits but don't know where to start, remembering the questions “Is this really necessary for me?” and “Do I really want this?” when you want to buy something can help you.
Integrating these questions into our lives helps us shop more consciously and mindfully, and at the same time increases the benefit we get from the things we purchase.
And now, if you want to practice together, stop and think!
