To understand that you can allow yourself, you first need to see if you can understand your intensities and feelings. For example, we shared our weekly newsletter, which we meet every Wednesday and are now in its 5th month, on Friday this week due to my intensity. If I hadn't noticed and expressed that I felt intense and tired and made the necessary prioritizations, I could have ended the week feeling "burned out," unhappy, and rushed.

 

So stop for 1 minute and think:

How do you feel?
 
Can you allow yourself?

Knowing yourself is not just about knowing your interests or being aware of what you like or dislike. It is also possible by noticing whether you are lost among all the intensity, being able to take a break when you feel tired, or allowing yourself when work or emotions intensify.


Just as fulfilling the responsibilities you take on and being consistent are important, doing all these with a healthy and clear mind is equally important. When the mind is stuck or tired, it clears only when you allow it, and only when your mind is clear can you do justice to the work you do.


Therefore, breaking the routine is not always a bad idea because sometimes you need to go off the road to be on the road. In such cases, going off the road, that is, stopping and looking back a step, shows more clearly where you are going and can actually be a good opportunity to realize where you want to go and to direct yourself.

 

Making it a habit to pause and look at yourself and your feelings will help you notice them more easily and speed up the process of allowing yourself when you feel stuck or tired. You can remind yourself that you don't always have to feel happy, peaceful, or constantly "good," as you have been taught, when you are in these emotions. Feeling restless, tired, maybe unhappy and low-energy is also part of life. When we accept them, we can start living life from a softer place and our self-compassion increases.
